Gift idea you can make this holiday

If you're looking for ideas on what to give your loved ones this holiday, try a DIY body scrub. You can customize it per person, it is more thoughtful, plus it will leave their skin more supple and smooth especially this winter.

Body scrubs help in removing dead skin cells which, in turn, promote softer and rejuvenated skin. Also, it feels good to pamper yourself after a busy week. Talk about self-care!

It is recommended to scrub once or twice a week as too much exfoliation can also damage skin. Make sure you massage the scrub in a circular motion on a thoroughly wet body to avoid breaking your skin barrier. Remember, be gentle and give your skin the TLC it deserves!

Your measurements will change depending on how many batches you make and the end result you wish to have (more coarse vs less coarse etc). This is only a reference on how the ratios should be relative to each other so take the measurements with a grain of salt (or sugar, or coffee). As an example, no matter how many or little you make, the amount of sugar should be more than the amount of oil.

To make a sugar-coffee body scrub, here's what you need:

This where the fun begins.

Now that you made this basic body scrub, be a little bit adventurous and try customizing it. If you want your scrub to be less rough, add more oats less coffee grounds. If you want it to smell a certain note you can add essential oils like lavender or chamomile. Beware and always do your research on the amount and type of essential oil you use because some of them can cause irritation. You can also substitute the brown sugar to refined or superfine sugar for sensitive skin.

And that's it folx, let me know how it turns out for you!

Toodaloo,

ITM.
